MTL helped Destination Solutions (DS) create a small and succinct web site to help reinforce the brand and excellent service they deliver to clients. The structure of the site was logical with an on-line form to allow DS to call prospective clients back immediately - an important first impression to make in a service industry.
A range of modern grey's and white colour structures was used to allow the photos, based on the type of venues they have provided, to become high impact messages on the pages. A black margin with white writing provides the initial elevator pitch entry into the area grabbing the short attention of the intended audience. Some natty style sheet mouseover effects on some of the design squares help keep the site fresh and many images are randomised to change on Refresh.
DS agreed with MTL that the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) of the site, at this stage of the business, is that direct prospected clients will look at the site and gain enough confidence to use DS's services.

Technology: Web Development
MTL provided the scope of development focused around the business case for the web site. It was identified that, as an independent school, attracting new pupils were key and providing a service to existing parents would give strong buy-in, thus increasing the site's popularity.

CCS have many types of viewers to cater for and each needs to find information quickly and easily. A secure area for parents gives access to newsletters, menus, school handbook files and important notices. The usernames were separated by school year to help CCS identify the most active ones and focus specific efforts where little activity is recorded. The public area has a rolling news article facility with caption image and web link support to help give a lighter feel to the articles. This is an ideal shop window for the school to show prospective parents what the school is all about. The remaining content is fixed and clearly linked by the side navigator including a gallery showing happy children at the school.

Asecure content management area was created, allowing CCS to add their own public and parent articles without the need to contact MTL, thereby reducing the cost of ongoing support and encouraging them to post regular content. A customised full activity log facility was provided via regular Excel spreadsheets, including specific breakdowns on which school years view the secure parents area and the content they viewed.

Technology: Flash MX/8
MTL specifically managed the entire MIDIRS IA project from database development to sales literature and promotion. The Flash demo was primarily designed as an off-line facility at conferences that could be used on a laptop connected to a plasma screen. The application includes four pre-recorded streamed clips of database searching with annotated explanations to points of interest.
Each unique property of MIDIRS IA is shown in individual sections with commonly answered themes demonstrated through animated graphics. Each section can be accessed individually from the main menu allowing knowledgeable users to find information quickly. The whole demonstration will automatically start again, after a fixed period, to capture interest of passing users when exhibiting.
Please click on button to launch the MIDIRS IA application. Please note this demonstration is optimised for minimum screen size of 600 x 900. You will need the free Adobe Flash Player and the file size is 650 kb.

Technology: Web Development
MTL provided web consultancy to address key unique selling points of Meetings Matter (MM) while strengthening a fantastic brand. The site is small and concise, segmented into What, Where and When categories for those looking for a venue service. The local rate telephone number is located on every page and a pre-qualified electronic contact form is prominent to demonstrate the high level of customer service on offer. Rather than disperse the site with images of venues, the focus is placed on the actual service MM offer with a Flash animation (view here) demonstrating the time/hassle involved if the client did it themselves. The 'free service' message of the business is reinforced with a Cost link in the top navigation to show there are actually no costs, thus selling the difference and minimise the risk.
During the launch phase, extensive web page activities were logged and analysed to help shake out the site and make sure all pages were performing to expectation. In particular close attention was made to the referral web traffic to help shape the short term viral marketing strategy.

Technology: Lotus Notes
MTL provided a central Lotus Notes repository for the new in-house call centre operations. The principle of the system was based on the white-box method of in-bound contact tracking. The extensive system provided many different modules adding over time to help LCL understand and meet the needs of its customers. This meant a team of four customer service operators could manage all in-bound calls and deliver the marketing message in a controlled manner while passing leads through the sales channel network.
The Driver Day booking system originated to replace the manual paper-based process and eliminate errors. LCL could then optimise the driver/passenger numbers, revenue and spend less time on booking administration. MTL created the best practice workflow for the business model with project input from the end users and in-line managers. The booking process had multiple product and location support with voucher discounts created via marketing campaigns. Importantly LCL managers could see instantly how many drivers/passengers had booked for each event. Not only was this important legally but also cleared the way for selling empty spaces closer to the event date.
All customer booking information was added to the central prospect system and a Lotus Owners Profiling (LOPS) was added for each customer. LOPS helped LCL to market and reach out to customers who, for example, owned a Lotus, had bought merchandise or attended a track day.

Technology: Flash MX/8
MTL developed a Flash-based application that would allow users to view 42 downloadable leaflets delivered to the end user on a CD-ROM. The application uses a strong brand splash page as well as music to make the experience more engaging.

The leaflets come in two versions for expectant mothers and health professionals and the application works well to allow each one to get to the relevant leaflets efficiently. Amongst the overall polished feel of this retail product there are some nice 3D rendered graphics and navigation techniques lengthening the longevity of its appeal. The small file size of the application means it can be delivered on smaller (and cheaper) business card CD-ROMs.

Please click on button to launch the Informed Choice application. Please note that the PDF facilities and music are subject to copyright and are disabled in this demonstration. You will need the free Adobe Flash Player and the file size is 700 kb.
